There is a strong case to be made for both curtains and blinds as classics in the realm of window treatments. Blinds， especially natural wooden blinds are a good choice for living rooms and studies， but you may want something a little less formal in bedrooms， such as teal curtains for an adult's bedroom or childrens curtains for kids rooms and playrooms.

Your home and especially your bedroom， is the place where you go to relax and spend your leisure time， so you need to keep colours on the softer side； the exceptions are possibly your kitchen， which should have something of a cheerful colour scheme and of course， children's rooms look great in bright， happy colours.
